Ducks at Lake Hart or Canard avec sel

Lake Hart is one of the smaller salt lakes in Lake Eyre basin. I merely stopped at the parking/viewing are, took ducks from their basket and onto the roof of the car, snapped these pictures, ducks back into basket and into car and off again.

That was until a little further down the road there was another part of the lake on the other side of the road where it looked possible to walk to the salt edge and have photos of 'canard avec sel'

On this side of the lake the salt was merely a crust on top of mud. I had mud on and in my black satin and beaded Birkenstocks for months!!
